Fibretic was born from a simple idea:

To link the knowledge of several disparate sectors ;

organic cotton farmers, small weaving workshops, tailors and dyers to produce high quality, organic and ethical textiles made from start to finish by local craftspeople.

 

Martine Gueye is the driving force behind Fibretic.

A seasoned traveller,

her fascination with arts and crafts grew during her long trips to Africa.

In Senegal she met, and began to work with,

groups of organic cotton farmers and the women weavers

who transform this cotton.

The recent growth of interest in organic cotton has brought hope to these communities, struggling to survive producing conventional cotton.

Fibretic’s producers make certified organic, fairtrade cotton,

no chemicals whatsoever are used.

Over a number of years, Martine has developped strong working relationships

with master craftsmen and women, who are, like herself,

committed to research and innovation.

 

The Fibretic Collection has been exhibited at international spa trade fairs

and Fibretic has worked with a number of prestigious clients including :

The Ritz Hotel Spa, Paris

 

Since December 2010 Fibretic has it’s showroom in Paris,

creating an environnement for the collection

and associating them with a small carefully selected repertoire of international craftmakers.
